Boating Safety

The boating season in Wisconsin has kicked off finally. Boating Safety is a primary concern of the staff at Anchors A’weigh. Boating safely is an absolute necessity. Boat unlike other forms of recreation or vehicles do not have the luxury of brakes or simply walking away from a poorly maintained vehicle. If your boat’s safety systems fail, you are in the middle of a body of water. You may have to tread water or worse. Also, you can’t simply slam on your brakes to avoid catastrophe. Inertia plays a big role in boating. You need to be on top of your game and pay attention to your boat, your passengers and everything around you.
